From the U. of Minnesota in 1950, Abels studied under Gropius at Harvard, where he got his Master's in 1952. He worked for Eero Saarinen from '54-58, when he moved to Denver, working for W.C. Muchow (who later designed the Engineering Center at C.U.). His own practice in Boulder lasted from 1962 to somewhere past 1992.
Charles Haertling (1928-1984)
Just go to this site , written by his son Joel, and Chuck Gerarden. He did not do the building on the right, which is on Broadway, just north of the Colorado Bookstore. It has some interesting features anyway. Look at those great ribbon windows on top!
